tuios is a terminal window manager. It opens panes, tiles them and keeps nine workspaces inside the terminal you already use. A daemon keeps sessions running when you detach, and the panes that run a coding agent show whether it is working, idle or waiting for you. This page has the logo, the mascot and the colours, and the files to use when you write about it.

Tilly is a small CRT monitor whose screen face is a tiled window layout: two panes on top are the eyes, a wide pane below holds a >_ prompt for a mouth, and the focused pane has a blue border. Tilly guides the Learn tour and stands for tuios wherever a friendly face fits better than a logo.

Using Tilly

  • Use Tilly for friendly, informal places: a talk slide, a sticker, a blog post header, a tutorial.
  • Pick the mood that fits the moment. Idle is the default.
  • Tilly keeps the same colours on dark and light backgrounds.
  • Do not redraw Tilly, change the colours, or give Tilly new clothes, props or words in a speech bubble that the project did not write.
  • Do not put Tilly next to another project's logo as if tuios endorsed it.

    A jump with both arms up, for finishing something.

    A raised hand, for hello and goodbye.

Colours

Catppuccin, with mauve as the accent

tuios uses the Catppuccin palette: Mocha for dark backgrounds and Latte for light ones. These are the values the logo files, the social cards and this site use. Click a copy button to copy the hex value.

Accent

Mauve is the tuios colour. Use the Mocha value on dark backgrounds and the Latte value on light ones.

Using the logo and Tilly

The tuios source code is MIT licensed. The name, the logo and Tilly are how people recognise the project, so they come with a few plain rules of their own.

You may

  • Use the logo, the wordmark and Tilly to link to tuios, or to write, talk or teach about it: in articles, videos, slides, package listings, and pages for tools that work with tuios.
  • Use the files as they are, no smaller than the minimum sizes on the brand page.

Not allowed

  • Do not alter the mark: no new colours, stretching, redrawing, outlines, effects or added parts.
  • Do not imply that tuios or its maintainer endorses, sponsors or made your product.
  • Do not use the logo or Tilly as part of your own product's name, logo or icon.

Ask before any commercial use of Tilly, such as stickers or merchandise for sale, or Tilly in the marketing of a paid product. Open an issue on GitHub to ask.

The wordmark is set in Fredoka and converted to outlines, so the files need no font. Fredoka is under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
